ABSTRACT
Different types of pesticides and fungicides are used by the farmers for diminishing the attack and endurance of pathogens causing the agricultural loss. The integrated approach of traditional agricultural and biotechnological methods is widely applicable for sustainable agricultural production. The biological control agents act as alternatives that are used worldwide for healthy agricultural production and to reduce the disease incidence of crop plants. The aim of present work was to assess the effectiveness of some biocontrol agents against the Alternaria solani. It was found that several fungal species can be successfully used as biocontrol agents that inhibit the growth and conidial germination of Alternaria solani.
