ABSTRACT
Thermal power plant is one of the major sources of electricity production by coal. Thermal power plants had serious impacts on various environmental components including land, air and water. These plants
also affected social and economic life of the population residing in the vicinity of thermal power plants. This paper tried to explore the socio-economic impacts of coal based super thermal power station of Kota,
Rajasthan. The study included surrounding villages up to a radius of 15 km from the plant.
