ABSTRACT

A field experiment was conducted at Niche Area Excellence Farm, Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural
University, Bikaner to study the effect of integrated nutrient management and bioregulator on growth and
quality of fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.). Fenugreek variety RMt-1 with seed rate of 25 kg/ha was
planted using three levels of integrated nutrient management [Control, FYM (5 t/ha)+20 kg N+20 kg/P2O5
and 40 kg N+40 kg P2O5) and four levels of bioregulator viz., Control, seed priming with thiourea (500 ppm),
seed priming and one foliar spray with thiourea (500 ppm) at vegetative stage and seed priming and two
foliar sprays with thiourea (500 ppm) at vegetative and flowering stages and analyzed in randomized block
design with three replications. Results showed that integrated nutrient management at FYM (5 t/ha)+20 kg
N+20 kg P2O5 gave higher pods/plant, pod length, seeds/pod, seed yield (15.96 q/ha), straw yield (38.75 q/
ha), biological yield (54.71 q/ha) and test weight (12.88 g). Seed priming and two foliar sprays with thiourea
(500 ppm) at vegetative and flowering stages gave higher pods/plant, pod length, seeds/pod, seed yield
(15.47 q/ha), straw yield (37.57 q/ha), biological yield (53.05 q/ha) and test weight (12.48 g).
