ABSTRACT
This experiment was carried out under Punjab conditions to study the effect of post-harvest treatments of AgNO3 and KMnO4 on physico-chemical characters of guava fruit stored under ambient conditions. Treated guava fruits were assessed for physical characters such as length, breadth, fruit weight and biochemical characteristics such as total soluble solids, titratable acidity (TA) and ascorbic acid. Randomized block design was followed to carry out the studies. It was confirmed by the present investigation that physico-chemical aspects of fruits were affected by post-harvest application (dipping treatment) of AgNO3 and KMnO4.
