ABSTRACT
A laboratory experiment was couducted to know the effect of seed fortification with macro and micronutrients
such as KH2PO4 (1%), ZnSO4 (0.1%), FeSO4 (0.2%), Na2SO4 (0.1%) and KCl (1%); plant growth hormones like gibberellic acid and indole-3-acetic acid (100 ppm each) and also thiourea (1%) along with water treated and non-treated seeds as control. Results revealed that the seed soaked with 100 ppm GA3 recorded significantly highest vigour and viability attributes. The untreated seeds recorded the least values for all parameters.
