ABSTRACT
It is known that Gasterophilus are also distributed in the circumpolar part of Russia before 68ºN-153°E. By the severity of the climate–This area is the pole of cold of the northern hemisphere and extremely sharp
temperature variations. It was found that in the North-Eastern Zone of Yakutia, adult gadflies of Gasterophilus in the first half of July were active from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m., and in early August from 12-18 p. m. They revealed shift in daily activity of Gasterophilus at the beginning and at the end of the flight period was due to the peculiarity of the climatic conditions of the studied zone. In the Central and Western Zones, it was found that until the second decade of July flies flew from 8 a. m. to 7 p. m.; at the end of August from 10-11 a. m. to 5 p. m. The threshold temperature began its activity of the imago of the Gasterophilus during the day was within 14-15ºC, and optimal 20-25°C and end –14-15ºC. In the cloudiness of higher than six accounts of the lower layer (0/6), 8–upper (8/0) or 6 upper and 4 lower (6/4), and also mean velocity of wind not less than 2.2 mps of the flight of the imago of the Gasterophilus was stopped.
