Studying the Effect of Selenium Content in the Aquatic Environment on the Dynamics of Biomass Accumulation in the Sprouts of Legumes

ABSTRACT

The paper studies the dynamics of increasing the amount of biomass in sprouting legumes, such as pea, beans, lentil and soybean, in environments with various amounts of selenium. The advisability of obtaining sprouts enriched with selenium in mass production has been assessed by the biomass yield of the sprouts. Preference is given to Venera soybean variety zoned in the Primorsky Krai as a promising raw material for obtaining selenium-enriched sprouts. It was found that for the local conditions, the optimal content of selenium in the incubation medium was 0.02 g/dm3. In the optimal conditions, accumulation of selenium in the sprouts in the amount of 30.42 µg/g occurred.
