ABSTRACT

Soybean is an important economic crop in Kazakhstan. A field trial was conducted at Aktobe Agricultural Experimental Station in 2018. Three hundred and eighty measurements taken at field-based condition using MultispeQ apparatus with the currently established platforms were compared; using R statistical software to evaluate 12 soybean genotypes for photosynthetic contents depending on leaf position. The objective of our study was to understand how leaf position responded to physiological parameters content in western Kazakhstan. These depended variable indexes were significantly impacted by leaf position factor. Among all the data, the relative chlorophyll content significantly increased in 11 out of 12 genotypes (K-9648 Maple Ridge-Canada, K-10925 Toury-Czech, Isidor-France, Samer1-Russia, Samer2-Russia,
Samer3-Russia, Samer5-Russia, K-11004 Swapa-Russia, K-9587 Belor-Russia, Anastasya-Ukraine, Tanais-Ukraine) on 3rd leaf trifoliate compared to the 4th ones (P-value<0.001). LEF content significantly increased in 10 out of 12 genotypes (K-9648 Maple Ridge-Canada, K-10925 Toury-Czech, Isidor-France, Samer1-Russia, Samer2-Russia, Samer3-Russia, Samer5-Russia, K-11004 Swapa-Russia, K-9587 BelorRussia, Anastasya-Ukraine) on 4th leaf trifoliate compared with 3rd ones (P-value 0.002).
