ABSTRACT

Active strains of lactic acid bacteria have been bred against three species of Brucella : B. melitensis, B. abortus and B. suis, by the diameter of test cultures’ growth inhibition zones with the use of three methods : diffusion in the agar nutrient medium, perpendicular strokes and the method of droplets, as well as after the exposure of probiotic bacteria with Brucella for 30, 120 and 180 min. As a result, three strains of lactic acid bacteria with high antimicrobial activity against three species of Brucella were selected.
